Suhail Ahmed is a senior associate in the firm. He has obtained his Masters Degree in Law with a concentration in the area of Health Law, Policy and Ethics from the University of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He holds a key interest in the area of International Law and Medical Law. He has experience of working in matters that are concerned mainly with Criminal, Corporate, Civil, Real Estate, Securities, Family Law, Contempt matters, Intellectual Property Rights and Insolvency and Bankruptcy.
In the past, being associated with various offices, he has represented and assisted clients in a range of matters before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the High Court of Delhi, Trial Courts, National Company Law Tribunal and National Company Law Appellate Tribunal. He also has experience of assisting with matters that deal with issues regarding the lease between different Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), operational and financial creditors, moratorium of a corporate entity, Market Based and Inventory Based Model of E-Commerce.
Additionally, he holds strong knowledge of the realm of litigation that is present in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India as he has experience of working under the insightful guidance of an experienced Advocate on Record wherein, he assisted and extensively worked upon a variety of different petitions ranging from Special Leave Petitions, Criminal Appeals, Civil Appeals, Transfer Petitions and Writ Petitions before the apex court of the country.
Moreover, he also possesses experience of assisting in matters that deal exclusively in the sphere of Intellectual Property Rights, wherein he extensively worked upon matters that revolved around the issue of trademark infringement and counterfeit products. Furthermore, he also has extensive experience in dealing with matters that are specifically related to issues which arise as a result of Dishonour of Negotiable Instruments.
He is a member of the Indo-Canadian Business Chamber (ICBC).
He is also a member of the Delhi High Court Bar Association.
